Oh Tiger…..I am pretty sure that golf is NOT the problem here.  Why not take an indefinite break on the infidelity??  I’m sure he has to do what he feels is best.  Quite certainly, professional golf will suffer.  Profits alone could be cut in half if he stays away too long.  What about the PGA Tour??  A PGA tournament without Tiger Woods is like bread with no butter.  His recent revelations of his double digit infidelities have most definitely damaged his carefully manicured image as a clean living family man.  Advertisers like Gillette, Nike and AT & T have capitalized on this happy image to the tune of billions of dollars.  He was a walking gold mine as far as they were concerned.  His decision to quit amid the swirl of controversy will likely have more sponsors following in the footsteps of Gatorade.

Notwithstanding….all of this has to be embarrassing for him.  He is undoubtedly one of the finest athletes that the world has ever seen.  Unfortunately, all anyone can talk about is the scandal that has taken over his life.  Self imposed scandal, but scandal nonetheless.  Google “Tiger Woods women” and 50,100,000 results come back in .12 seconds.  Harsh…

I say let’s leave the man alone.  He is not the first man to cheat on his wife and he certainly won’t be the last.  Maybe he will work it out and maybe he won’t..but skewering him everyday on CNN won’t help anyone get any answers let alone his family.  So this will be my last entry about the subject, hopefully I can write about his triumphant return soon.
