My god I love Facebook. I just reconnected with my most favorite teacher Ms. Dersch. In high school, she helped me channel my talkativeness into a love for debate, public speaking and radio & TV announcing. At any rate, she is still teaching but ALSO she is a total travel bug. Her recent jaunt was to the shores of Zanzibar of all places to this little gorgeous hotel called the Pongwe Beach Hotel.
I am in awe not only of it’s beauty, but that it’s so damn cheap!!! Whether you go on or off season, it’s still less than $100 per night….and they have many amenities such as day trips into town, scuba, snorkeling etc. Not sure what the food is like, but I can’t imagine it would be bad. You would be in paradise for pete’s sake! The bedrooms have that sexy Moroccan mosquito net type feel. Dark wood and white cotton sheets….very pretty. There is also an infinity pool for gazing at the sky.
Now if you are a traditional resort-type person then this probably wouldn’t be for you, but just look at the sand and sky and think about relaxing….maybe you will change your mind.
