Hey all…I have SO much to be thankful for this year. Good friends, amazing opportunities but I am most thankful for my family who has supported me through thick and thin. This is more evident to me every year that passes by. So, that being said….make sure you let YOUR family know how much they mean to you every day of the year…not just today
Now…on to what I am cooking today. I ordered a fried turkey (just makes my life easier and they taste SO good). There are several spots that do them, you may have seen Jive Turkey on Food Network I heard they were good. I get mine from a BBQ place down the street so if you have one of those nearby, try there first.
The rest of the menu includes:
- Macaroni and cheese
- Cornbread, Sausage, Wild Mushroom dressing with sage butter
- Stewed mustard, turnip and kale greens with smoked pork belly (I know some of you don’t like pork, I do don’t judge me)
- Cranberry/Orange relish
- Dessert compliments of Trader Joe’s freezer case in the form of a chocolate ganache torte
I am looking foreward to food, football and fun. I already have the parade on and the mac & cheese and greens were cooked last night. All I have left to do is the dressing and everything else just gets warmed up. Super easy!
Have a blessed holiday…..
