Oh Hilary…..I saw this on the news this morning and she was PISSED. Rightfully so I think…. if you haven’t seen it, I have the clip for you below. There was a town hall in Congo and a student stepped up to the mic to ask Mrs. Clinton a question about a loan China offered the Republic of Congo. “What does Mr. Clinton think, through the mouth of Mrs. Clinton?” the student asked (through an interpreter of course).
Hillary stared at him, annoyed. “You want me to tell you what my husband thinks? My husband isn’t Secretary of State. I am,” she went further and said. “If you want my opinion, I will tell you my opinion. I am not going to be channeling my husband.”
I was shocked….but kinda happy that she stood up for herself. The Clintons have been around for a long time and this is HER time. Many newspapers (most notably, The New York Post) are blasting her saying she was too hard on the poor student. I have also heard that possibly the interpreter misunderstood the student and that played a role in the question being asked in the first place. Whatever the reason, it was asked and answered. We heard you loud and clear Madame Secretary. Personally, I think Hilly was on point, simply because of who her husband is. Bill Clinton is a master negotiator who had the skill and charm to go to North Korea and come back 12 hours later with two journalists who’d been imprisoned for months. Bill got them out in less than a day. So if I were in her position, I would be annoyed and mad as hell too, I’m just saying…
